SportsNation Mel Kiper: Jerry Jones said the Wade Phillips was coming back. But with Mike Shanahan’s availability, things look different. Shanahan might change the thought process of Jerry Jones.
Shanahan took the hit for the Broncos not making the playoffs. He wanted total control and he got it, with that winning and losing rides on his shoulders. I would give Shanahan an A for coaching and a D for handling personal.
I don’t think coaches can win by coaching and playing GM at the same time.
